Air conditioners are the only salvation in the summer heat. Quite affordable prices for these devices allowed them to “register” in many apartments of citizens. Let’s look at what varieties of air conditioners are most often used in everyday life.
Split systems
We will start our review with the most popular air conditioners-split systems. They consist of two separate blocks, one of which (external) is mounted on the facade of the building, and the other (internal) – in the room that requires cooling.
With each other they are united through the wall with a tubular connection, a refrigerant circulates through it. This design made it possible to carry out the most noisy elements of the air conditioner outside the living space: compressor, fan, condenser. This type of product is presented here/.
Mobile air conditioner
Mobile air conditioners look like a regular bedside table with rounded corners and small wheels. Such a device can be easily moved around the apartment, or you can take with you to the country.
In the mobile “monoblock” all structural elements are placed in one case. It’s good and bad. Good, because the air conditioner is assembled and set up at the factory. And it’s bad, because while it works, you will have to listen to the rumbling of the compressor and other “loud” nodes.
In connection, the mobile “monoblock” does not cause special troubles – you just need to stick out the end of the corrugated pipe from the air conditioner into the open window, warm air will be removed through it.
Stationary air conditioner
This variety of air conditioners is often called “windows”. In many ways they resemble “monoblocks”, only they need to be installed in the window opening. These devices are not very popular. The fact is that stationary air conditioners look awkwardly in the window, and not every window can be redone, especially when it comes to modern plastic structures with double -glazed windows.
Perhaps the only plus of “windows” are their accessibility. Due to the fact that the whole “filling” of these devices is in the same case, they do not differ in quiet work.
The nuances of the choice
When choosing an air conditioner, take into account first of all its cooling power. Select it like this: for every 1 m2 of premises you need 80-100 watts.
When buying an air conditioner for a living room, make sure that it is equipped with the so -called “night regime”. When it is turned on, the noise level is reduced.
Do not forget about built -in filtering systems. The more of them, the better, it is better – the air in the room will always be clean.
