Ciutat Vella and Ruzafa were the first areas of Valencia in which green and orange parking areas were created for local residents.
In the near future, the districts of La Roqueta and El Botánico will also join them. To park in these areas, you need to request a special card from the city Hall. In fact, the green and orange zones in Valencia have caused some confusion among drivers who sometimes doubt whether to park there.
It is reported that a resident card for parking in the orange and green zones can be issued at the Valencia City Hall remotely via the link. To do this, you must be a resident and be registered in the area of the city in which the application is submitted. In addition, you must have valid documentation for the car.
Residents have the right to park in the green zone 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However, in order to exercise this right, certain requirements must be met, such as having a badge provided for by the Mobility Ordinance and paying the appropriate tax. In the orange zone, parking is allowed for both residents and non-residents. But in the case of non-residents, it is necessary to observe time intervals. From Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 19:00 and on Saturdays from 09:00 to 15:00, anyone can park their car in this area. During non-working hours, parking in the orange zone can only be used by residents who meet the above requirements.
