Many apartment owners are faced with the problem of fogging PVC windows. The main reason for this not too pleasant phenomenon is considered increased humidity in the room. Condensate settles on glass because their surface is colder than air in the room.
The main reasons for fogging windows
Plastic windows begin to “cry” because of the fact that:
– Ventilation is not installed in the room. PVC designs, as everyone knows, is absolutely tight. And therefore, fresh air does not enter the room, which leads to oversaturation of it with moisture;
– Mounted GOST Glass Packet. In our cold Russian climate, it is not recommended to use single -chamber equipment. A special glass with an energy -saving coating should be inserted into the profile. Or the package should be at least two -chamber;
– Too wide window sills. They block the path of air from the heating radiator. As a result, the glass does not warm up sufficient. And drops are formed on the cold surface;
– Poor installation of the profile. If there are cracks between the frame and the opening of the window, cold air will enter the room and cool first of all the glass itself.
Ways to eliminate the problem
If such a problem arises, it is worth trying to reduce the level of air humidity. If there is no ability to install a sufficiently powerful ventilation system, you should try to ventilate the room more often. This can be done even in the winter time. It is enough to open the window for only a few minutes. The room will ventilate, and the furniture and surface of the walls will not have time to cool. After the sash is closed, the air warms up very quickly. The condensate will disappear.
If the problem of fogging in inappropriate double -glazed windows, it should be replaced with a new. At the same time, the profile will not have to be dismantled. You can also change wide window sills. If for some reason it is impossible to do this, it is worth using a regular candle. It is lit and put on the windowsill. Glass, thanks to the emerging current of warm air, will dry out quickly.
The problem of cracks between the frame and the opening can be solved and independently can be solved. For their sealing, depending on the width, you can use either putty (cement from the side of the street and gypsum from the side of the room), or the mounting foam. Most likely, for high -quality sealing, you will have to dismantle slopes.
Thus, by correctly determining the cause of stacked fogging, you can easily get rid of this problem. Of course, it is worth first of all to purchase PVC windows from trusted manufacturers and the design corresponding to our climate. Typically, firms selling PVC equipment are engaged in its installation.
