The Mobile World Congress (MWC) has been held in Barcelona since 2006 and has become the most important event for the mobile communications sector worldwide.
It presents the latest models of technology and the latest technological achievements (smartphones, drones, robotics, artificial intelligence and software). This year’s congress, held at Fira Gran Via in Ospitalet de Llobregat from February 27 to March 2, gathers more than 80,000 participants. It is predicted that this will bring the city an economic effect of 350 million euros. Among the participants there are not only such industry heavyweights as Huawei or Samsung, but also small stratapes ready to show themselves to the world.
MWC can be visited in two ways: in person and virtually. A virtual ticket costs 499 euros and gives you access to more than 50 keynote speeches, discussions and virtual spaces.
As for offline visits, there are several options:
- The Discovery Pass, priced at 799 euros, gives access to the entire MWC exhibition area in addition to 4YFN, a mobile space dedicated to startups.
