For the apartment to be comfortable, and the furniture is confident in its place, the surface of the floor should be even. Therefore, before laying the selected flooring, it is necessary to level out the surface qualitatively. The duration of the operation of any finishing material depends on this.
Traditionally, a concrete screed is used for alignment, but it may not be even even for the flooring of other coatings. In addition, concrete itself is cold material, therefore the floor will be cold. Therefore, the screed, as a rule, is covered with some kind of warm layer, which will become the basis for the finishing coating.
The choice of a certain technology for leveling depends on the difference in irregularities. So, a slight difference – up to three centimeters – is eliminated using bulk mixtures or using plywood. To prepare the first, special equipment and certain skills in preparing the solution are necessary, since adding an excessive amount of water will lead to a delamination of the leveling layer. In addition, preparation for the use of the leveling mixture is carried out more careful than when covering the surface with plywood. Accordingly, this option is chosen by experts and experienced masters. You can independently level the floor with the help of wood material on your own. This requires moisture -resistant plywood, which will not be deformed when water hits.
Surfacing with plywood can be carried out using different technologies. The first method is used to arrange the base in lags. For this, bars are installed. Their thickness will be different – depending on the floor difference, so during the installation process you should constantly check the horizontal using special levels. A plywood is laid on top of these bars, which is attached to the bars playing the role of the frame using self -tapping screws. At the same time, a thermal insulation layer can be stacked between the bars-ships, especially when it comes to leveling the floor of the first floor of a private cottage.
According to another alignment technology, plywood is laid on a concrete screed. In this case, a moisture -resistant type of material is also used. Mount the coating directly on the base using dowels. This method is used quite often to prepare the floor for laying a laminate or parquet, since these finishing materials do not “suffer” irregularities and are quickly deformed in case of cracks or potholes in the screed.
With a difference of more than 5 centimeters, boards, OSB, sometimes chipboard are most often used. The use of plywood is also possible.
