The creation of a new design of forming machines with simultaneous fractionation of chips made it possible to simplify the production scheme for three -layer plates. In the workshops working according to this simplified scheme, so -called multi -layer slabs are produced. In these plates, in essence there are no clearly distinguishable layers, since forming machines create a chip carpet, in which the size of the chips gradually increases from the front surface to the middle and again decreases as it approaches the second outer surface of the plate. The use of these machines, the principle of operation of which is described in the chapter of the formation of the carpet, allowed, instead of two streams of preparation of the chip mixture, to limit themselves to one.
As in the schemes described above, raw materials (firewood) in containers 1 is soaked in pools 2, is cleaned of the bark in drums 3, is cut in the length of saws 4 and processed in chips on machines 5. Waste of sawmill production (rails, humps) turn into chips on special machines 6.
Raw chips with pneumatic transport are loaded into the hopper 7, in which a reserve of raw chips is created, which ensures the continuity of the work of subsequent technological equipment. Then the chips are entered for secondary grinding in the crusher 8, and then into the dryer 9, where it is dried to a moisture content of 4-5%. From a dryer, the chips enters the separator 10, where especially small particles are eliminated.
The chips are covered with a binder with a working solution prepared at the installation 11, in a special mixer 12, in which small particles are covered with a large amount of binder than large. The finished mixture is loaded into the bunker 13. The bunker with a dosage head loads the chips into the forming machine 14, which is covered by a multi -layer carpet on pallets, moved by conveyor 15.
The carpet is cut into segments – blanks with saws 16, the weight of the carpet is controlled on Libra 17. After a cold toppling on the hydraulic press 18, pruning of the longitudinal edges with saws 19. In the case of a delay in the operation of the hot press and the loading device, the pallets with blanks accumulate in the storehouse 20. The same reserve for empty pallets 21 is installed behind a hot press 22. Ready plates are spent on endurance, final processing and warehouse, and the pallets are cooled and returned to the place of formation of the layer.
