Ways to lay laminate
Laminate is a floor covering designed for styling in different rooms, with the exception of bathrooms and places with increased humidity. Before starting the flooring of a laminate coating, you need to give it the opportunity to lie down for two days at room temperature.
In order to lay a laminate you will need a hammer, an electrician, spacer wedges, a ruler and a pencil, a bar, a clamp, a polyethylene film.
The laminate can be laid on linoleum, parquet and any other coating that meets the norms that consist in the evenness of the base and moderate humidity. It is not recommended to lay the laminate on carpet flooring. Before the start of installation of the laminate, you need to align it well, clean and dry the base. When laying on the surface of concrete, you need to use a plastic film that provides vapor barrier from excess moisture. When you finish the films, do not forget about the styling of the sound -absorbing substrate.
Start laying the laminate. The flooring of the laminate panels is necessary so that the light falls in a parallel plane to the seams of the panels. Otherwise the seams will become very noticeable. First you need to form 1 row of 2 boards. In addition, it is necessary to install spacer wedges to provide gaps of 7-14 mm between the wall surface and laminate boards. These gaps are needed so that the laminate has the opportunity to expand or narrow after laying it. For light snap downtime laminate panels, it is better to lay them with a lock on yourself.
Having formed 1 row, start installing the 2nd. The best installation option is the way half of the board, in which laying resembles a masonry half a brick. This location makes it possible for uniform distribution of pressure on the laminate panels during expansion or narrowing. 2 rows board should be placed at an angle on another panel, insert it into the lock and snap.
You must continue the formation of 2 rows, without the use of end snap, and using the subsequent panel.
You need to knock out all four panels using a hammer. They will be a guideline when installing other laminate boards.
Having completed the breakdown, you need to start installing the remaining panels in the same order. In order to install the last board adjacent to the wall, use the clamp. It will easily connect the last panel from the previous.
Having finished laying the laminate boards, you need to install the skirting board.
Useful advice
During laying the laminate boards with large layers, remember that if the area of the laminate is exceeded with a width and a length of 12 m more than 120 kV. m., You must think about compensation seams, otherwise the formation of cracks will begin on the flooring.
